The Write Around the Murray festival program has been announced for 2025. It features some amazing Australian Authors such as Jane Caro and Isobelle Carmody. Interestingly this year they are hosting workshops on self-publishing and preparing manuscripts for publication!

The Emerging Writers Festival program has been announced for 2025. The event runs from 11th-18th of September across Melbourne and online.

Love Your Bookshop Day 2025 theme has been announced as “Discover the magic. Discover you”. This will fall on October 11 this year.

Seth Robinson who is a University of Melbourne lecturer has launched a new podcast called Unfolded. This podcast will have an author perform a short story, who will then be interviewed by the hosts.

Simon and Schuster Australia has announced that they have formed a dedicated children’s book publishing team.
