The 2025 CALEB Award for Unpublished Manuscripts is now open!
We are thrilled to announce the opening of the 2025 CALEB Award! This award fosters a community of Christian writers who are passionate about high-quality, Christian-worldview storytelling. It offers unpublished Christian writers a unique opportunity for valuable feedback to help hone their craft and develop their manuscripts.
Whether you’re working on fiction or non-fiction, the CALEB Award offers impartial, anonymous judging with feedback from three different judges. Past entrants have found the experience an incredibly helpful step on their writing journey. You can see some of their stories here.
Entries open until 1 May 2025
Cost per entry: $40 members / $70 non-members.

Who can enter

Unpublished authors with complete fiction or non-fiction manuscripts.

If you are a published fiction author, you can enter with an unpublished non-fiction manuscript, and vice versa.

This year, we are excited to introduce a new category for early and middle grade readers!
(Note: All categories must receive at least 7 entries to proceed to judging. If a category does not meet this minimum, those entry fees will be refunded.)

New prize in 2025
One of the biggest benefits of the CALEB Award has always been the anonymous feedback that writers receive on their work. However, in 2025 the Omega Writers Committee put a lot of thought and prayer into sourcing prizes that would also help unpublished writers turn their manuscripts into books.
So, as well as prizes for the winner of each category, we are pleased to announce that one manuscript from among the finalists will be offered a grand prize thanks to sponsors Tabor College and Green Hill Publishing.
This includes mentoring through Tabor College’s Creative Writing Mentor Program together with a book design and print readiness package through Green Hill Publishing.
Winners will be announced at the Omega Writers online conference on 17–18 October.

Submit your manuscript using the provided submission link. Note: You must remove your name and any identifying information from your manuscript before submitting.
