Professional Package
$3,199
What is included in the Professional Package?
Included in this package are the following services:
Project Management and Communication
- Dedicated Project Manager for Support: Your project manager will be your main point of contact throughout your project. They are across the entire production of your book, can answer any questions you have, and keep you updated on the progression of your project.
- Milestone Phone Calls: Once your project progresses to certain publishing milestones, you will receive a scheduled call from your project manager. If phone calls are difficult for you, you can opt out of this and receive your milestone updates via email or chat instead.
- Full control of your book sales: Included in the Professional Package, Green Hill has made it easy for authors to have full control over the sales of your book. Right at the start of the project, your project manager will give you information on the different distribution options through the Print-on-Demand (POD) printers you can choose from. This means that, as soon as your project is completed, all sales you make remain yours and you receive the profits directly.
Editing
- Editing Assessment: Green Hill Publishing offers our authors an editing assessment, which includes an editor spending up to an hour on editing your manuscript to identify the level of editing needed and to provide a budget and timeline.
Book Design
- Design Consultancy with Book Designer: Within the Professional Package, you will be able to have a meeting with your designer to discuss your vision for the book at the beginning of the design phase. Your designer will ask you questions about your vision and advise alternatives to make sure your book has the best chance of succeeding within the book market.
- Premium Cover Design: All our book covers are created by our in-house designers who have the marketability of the book in mind. In the Professional Package, your designer works to the design consultancy notes taken throughout your discussion. They may suggest alternative options they believe will work for your book as well. They provide you these suggestions via a Book Concept document.
- 3D Render of Your Chosen Cover Design: After the Book Concept phase, you will be given a digital rendering of what your book cover will look like as a physical product.
- Premium Interior Design: Just like book covers, the interior design and typesetting of your book is handled by our in-house designers who have the marketability of the book in mind. In the Professional Package, your designer works to the information they have noted from the Design Consultancy. They may suggest alternative options they believe work for your book as well.
- 20 Image Insertions: Each package as a maximum of 20 image insertions. If you require more, you can let your project manager or sales consultant know and they will let you know your options.
- One Revision Round: We understand that your book is intended for distribution and that errors aren’t always easily spotted. Therefore, we allow one round of minor text alterations.
- Final Print Files: Once the design process has been completed and your files are ready for print, you will be given the print-ready files of your book.
Proofing
- Electronic Proofs for Cover and Interior: The initial proofing stage is done digitally. You will be provided with a PDF to proof your cover and interior artwork before the printing of your hardcover author proof goes ahead.
- Paperback Author Proof Copy: As books created within the Professional Package are intended for distribution, you will be set-up for a paperback book to help minimise printing costs. Therefore, at the physical proof stage, you will be given a paperback proof.
Marketing
- Author Webpage: At the close of your project, your book will be released on our website https://australianauthorsstore.com/. This is not an author website but allows customers to directly purchase books from the authors or find a link an online retailer that stocks it.
Distribution
- Print-on-Demand Set-up: Your files will be designed to the specifications for Print-on-Demand (POD). This could be KDP or IngramSpark. These POD Printers have connections with a Global Distribution Network to allow your access to worldwide online book distribution.
- Online Retailing Paperback Format Distribution: We help assist with arranging the metadata for the online distribution of the paperback book.
Legals and Finance
- 100% Copyright: As the content creator, you will maintain 100% of the copyright of your manuscript throughout the whole process. At the end of the project, Green Hill assigns the copyright to your book design over to you as well.
- 100% Royalties: Green Hill is a fee-for-service provide, so we don’t take royalties from our authors’ sales.
- Your Own Account with Print-on-Demand and Online Sales Platform: We will provide you with instructions on how to set up your own account with the POD printer of your choice so you can manage your account independantly.
- ISBN Registration: All books intended for retail need an ISBN. Green Hill assigns and manages our authors’ ISBNs throughout the production process.
- Legal Deposit: As part of the Professional Package, we will complete the Legal Deposit with the National Library of Australia for you. This is a legal requirement for publishers.
Printing
- Black and White or Full Colour Interior: Depending on your publishing needs, you can opt for either black and white or full colour interiors of your book.
- Australian and International Print-on-Demand Set-up: Included in the Professional Package, we will set your book up to a POD template for the printer of your choice. If you are wanting to print with a trade printer, we can assist with this also, but you will need to talk with your Project Manager about this.
- “Book Launch” Print Run (Administration, Quality Control, Delivery): Green Hill will assist in quoting a short print run for you. This is a short print run organised for the purposes of selling books at a book launch.
Additional services
Some services are allowed to be added our packages if the author requires. These services are called additional inclusions and are undertaken by Green Hill upon the author’s request at an hourly rate. The additional inclusions for our Professional Package are:
- Editing: As the cost of editing is dependent on each individual manuscript, this service cannot be priced within our packages. The editing assessments (included in this package) will determine the budget of editing.
- Author Proofread: The author proofread is done after typesetting has been near-completed, and so the process requires specialised software and additional design time.
- EBook: If you would like an eBook version of your book produced, this can be done after the design phase has been completed. As the cost of eBook conversion differs for each project, this service cannot be priced within our packages and must be custom-quoted.
- Hardcover Proof Copy: As this package only accounts for one book format, it is an additional cost to have an extra format. Ordering a proof for the extra hardcover format is therefore also an additional cost.
- Marketing Assets: Please see the Marketing Packages breakdown to learn about the additional costs for this inclusion.
- Marketing Strategy: Please see the Marketing Packages breakdown to learn about the additional costs for this inclusion.
- Online Retailing Hardcover Format Distribution: As the paperback format is the default for this package, extra formats such as hardcover are provided at an additional cost. Furthermore, the online retailing distribution set-up for extra formats is also done at an additional cost.
- Online retailing EBook Format Distribution: As the paperback format is the default for this package, extra formats such as eBook are provided at an additional cost. Furthermore, the online retailing distribution set-up for extra formats is also done at an additional cost.
- Print Brokering for Specialised Print: Printing additional runs other than the Book Launch run.
